We are a home-based pedigree cat breeder registered with Felis Polonia and FIFe. Our cats are part of our family, and every mating is carefully planned with the kittens’ health, temperament and future in mind.
A lifelong love of animals
Our love of animals goes back many years. As a child, I lived with my parents and sister in a small fourth-floor flat. I dreamed of having my own dog and cat, but my parents could not agree to it.
I therefore looked for every possible opportunity to be close to animals. While still at primary school, I would bring homeless animals home while my parents were away, feed and bathe them, and give them a little warmth and safety. I also cared for abandoned birds. It gave me a glimpse of the special bond I longed for so deeply.
One of my greatest dreams came true when I was in secondary school and a female Cocker Spaniel joined our family. She meant the world to me. When I met my husband, I discovered that he had shared the same passion since childhood. From that moment on, animals became a permanent part of our life together.
IN LOVE WITH RAGDOLLS
The breed that stole our hearts
We passed this love and sensitivity on to our daughters. We wanted them to grow up surrounded by four-legged companions who would naturally teach them responsibility and selfless care. Over time, horses and domestic cats joined the dogs in our home. The real turning point, however, came when we first encountered Ragdolls.
We quickly discovered that Ragdolls are no ordinary cats. To us, they are a remarkable combination of a cat and a dog — the feline equivalent of a Golden Retriever. They completely stole our hearts with their deep blue eyes gazing at people, soothing purrs, extraordinary gentleness and soft, silky coats.
Our journey began with three beautiful females from respected Polish catteries: Filona AmeleonyPL, Julka AmeleonyPL and Indiana Przytulanka*PL. Our fascination with the breed quickly became part of our everyday life and developed into a lifelong passion.
OUR CATTERY TODAY
A home where cats are part of the family
For over a decade, we have been proudly and devotedly breeding Ragdoll and Devon Rex cats. Our cats are raised alongside us and, from their very first moments, are treated as full members of the family — surrounded by attention, respect and love.
Close to us every day
Our cats are raised in our home, sharing everyday life with us and with our Golden Retriever and Irish Wolfhound dogs. From an early age, they become familiar with household sounds, people and other animals.
Health under specialist care
Our cattery is under the regular supervision of Karolina, a veterinary surgeon specialising in feline medicine. All our breeding cats undergo comprehensive health examinations, including screening for HCM and PKD.
Carefully planned matings
We select outstanding representatives of each breed for our breeding programme — healthy, well-built cats with the gentle temperament typical of their breed. Every mating is planned with the kittens’ future in mind.
OUR EVERYDAY LIFE
Our cattery is part of our life
Maszkotka*PL is not something that exists separately from our home — it is an integral part of it. Our cats are with us every day: they rest in our rooms, accompany us in our daily activities and take part in the life of the whole family.
Sharing their space with people, other cats and dogs allows our kittens to experience real family life from the very beginning. This helps them grow up surrounded by closeness, calm and loving care.
Every animal that comes under our roof becomes part of our family.
ACHIEVEMENTS AND DISTINCTIONS
Beauty and temperament recognised worldwide
Kittens from our cattery now live with families around the world and receive recognition at prestigious national and international cat shows. Cats bred by Maszkotka*PL have earned a total of three prestigious National Winner titles.
A special place in the history of MaszkotkaPL belongs to NW SC Xanax MaszkotkaPL DVM — the Best Cat of 2023 in the Felis Polonia ranking. Competing against 1,699 cats, he took first place, earned the National Winner title and won the Super Cat ranking. With a total of 1,605 points, he set a new ranking record.

Happy stories matter most to us
Although trophies and titles make us very proud, the words of our kittens’ new families are the greatest reward for our work. We are deeply touched when we hear that our kittens have wonderful, well-balanced temperaments and are even more beautiful in person than in their photographs.
We remain in close and friendly contact with the families of our kittens. Their recommendations and the fact that they often return to us are wonderful signs of trust — some families now share their homes with as many as four cats from Maszkotka*PL.
